Victoria Falls Marathon - Marathon des Chutes Victoria

The Victoria Falls Marathon, has been developed in conjunction with the National Athletics Association of Zimbabwe,  and is AIMS registered to provide a platform for both local and international runners to pitch themselves against the  best! The route is fast and relatively flat and is supported by regular water points and cooling down sections, all ably  managed by the sponsors. The route crosses over the Vic Falls Bridge, briefly into Zambia offering the social runner  some of the most spectacular scenery in Africa.

 A full 42.2km and 21.2km are available. Victoria Falls has long been known as the adventure centre of Africa, and for  good reason. There is a wealth of activities available! Choose from one of the travel packages, or tailormake your own  and combine the marathon with some rafting, canoeing,game viewing, an elephant back safari or even a bungi jump!  Safaris to neighbouring Botswana and Zambia are also available and Wild Frontiers, the official organiser,would be  happy to put together some options for your consideration. There are daily flights to the Falls from Johannesburg, and  link in easily from international flights to the region.
