The premier event of New York Road Runners, the ING New York City Marathon is one of the world's great road races, drawing more than 90,000 applicants. The race attracts many world-class professional athletes, not only for the more than $600,000 in prize money, but also for the chance to excel in the media capital of the world before two million cheering spectators and 315 million worldwide television viewers. As any one of the more than 700,000 past participants will attest, crossing the finish line in Central Park is one of the great thrills of a lifetime.

Une des plus grandes courses à effectuer, les marathon de Londres est l'un des parcours les plus attrayant grâce à son parcours au milieu des monuments et ses supporters chaleureux.

L'envie de coucher sur le web les impressions, petits événements, petites notes, performances qui émaillent mon entrainement en vue de grand objectif: courir mon premier marathon ! Finir les 42,195km dans un état encore acceptable et si possible dans un temps qui ne me ridiculise pas totalement.

L'objectif est donc d'une part de partager réflexions et impressions et d'autre part si possible de susciter remarques, suggestions ou même encouragements dans cette tâche.

The Victoria Falls Marathon, has been developed in conjunction with the National Athletics Association of Zimbabwe,  and is AIMS registered to provide a platform for both local and international runners to pitch themselves against the  best! The route is fast and relatively flat and is supported by regular water points and cooling down sections, all ably  managed by the sponsors. The route crosses over the Vic Falls Bridge, briefly into Zambia offering the social runner  some of the most spectacular scenery in Africa.

 A full 42.2km and 21.2km are available. Victoria Falls has long been known as the adventure centre of Africa, and for  good reason. There is a wealth of activities available! Choose from one of the travel packages, or tailormake your own  and combine the marathon with some rafting, canoeing,game viewing, an elephant back safari or even a bungi jump!  Safaris to neighbouring Botswana and Zambia are also available and Wild Frontiers, the official organiser,would be  happy to put together some options for your consideration. There are daily flights to the Falls from Johannesburg, and  link in easily from international flights to the region.

The Istanbul Eurasia Marathon starts from the Anatolian side of Istanbul, and ends at the European side while taking the runners to the most beautiful spots of town, signing its name under a touristic attraction as well.

 The Bosphorus is one of the most beautiful spots on the world and as you run through it, history of the centuries run with you on the streets.

 Istanbul, city of history and nature, continues to gain a great deal both to sports and tourism through Eurasia Marathon.

Stations de ravitaillement :
Il y aura une station tout les 1.5 - 2 kilomètres le long de la course. Chacune d'elles fournissent des fruits, de l'eau dans des verres et de l'eau en bouteille. Des boissons énergétiques sont disponibles du kilomètre 12.5 et fournies à tous les coureurs.
 
Toilettes :
Des toilettes mobiles seront postées le long du parcours tous les 5 kilomètres. Pour des endroits exacts veuillez vous rapporter à la carte de cours.

Situé en Tanzanie, au sud de l'équateur, et culminant à 5.895 mètres, le Kilimanjaro est la plus haute montagne d'Afrique et la plus haute montagne isolée au monde . Avec ses glaciers permanents il domine toute la région. Affectueusement surnommée « Kili », cette icône de l’Afrique est l’un des endroits que l’on se doit d’avoir vu au moins une fois dans sa vie.

Le départ du Marathon de 42,2 km et du semi-marathon de 21,1 km se tiendra à Moshi, Tanzanie, à la date indiquée ci-dessus.

La compétition est organisée afin de stimuler le sport en Tanzanie et elle est soutenue par l’Office de Tourisme de Tanzanie, l’Association d’Athlétisme de Tanzanie, l’IAAF (International Association of Athletics Federation) et elle est enregistrée auprès de l’AIMS (Association of International Marathons and Road Races).

Les organisateurs du Lausanne Marathon se font un point d'honneur à ce que chacun puisse courir dans des conditions optimales. La chaleur de l'accueil et une formidable animation sont au service d'une logistique sans faille. Les participants cosmopolites ont bien compris qu'ils étaient ici bien plus qu'un numéro; le nombre sans cesse croissant des inscrits en est la plus belle preuve.

Le Marathon de Lausanne serpente entre lac et coteaux verdoyants. Comme aucune voiture ne vient rompre le charme de l'instant, le coureur peut se concentrer entièrement sur sa course.

L'expérience arctique du 21 juin 2008 prochain, vous permettra de participer à une expérience fantastique dans la ville arctique de Tromsø en Norvège. C'est l'occasion de courir au milieu de la nuit  dans des rayons de soleil. Nous vous souhaitons la bienvenue aux évènements sportifs les plus au nord. Nous avons certifié ce marathon dans le monde. Le marathon du Soleil de minuit se déroule à la latitude 70º.
